Do you have any proof to back up your statement about WordPress “competing with professional web development programs like Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression.”

I actually think a lot of these themes look a lot alike, aside from a few small layout changes and color schemes. Case in point they all follow the same basic layout: header, menu, content, footer - in that order from top to bottom. I say change it up to make things more interesting!
I’d like to see some more interesting ideas for layouts - there are enough informative magazine/blogs out there with everyone pitching the same jargon and babble over and over again.
